Snowflake was the only albino gorilla known to man

Snowflake was the only albino gorilla known to man. He was a Western Lowland Gorilla and spent most of his life in the Barcelona Zoo. His entire family group was killed in 1966. The man who killed his family kept him and then sold him. He was born in 1964 and died November 23rd 2003. He was between 38 to 40 at the time of his death. Most gorillas in the wild live to be about 25.
