Ginger Baker is widely recognized as one of the most influential drummers of all time. In the seventies, he had a stint in Lagos where he built a recording studio and collaborated with Fela Kuti on some records. He first met Fela whilst playing at The Flamingo Club in London quite a few years earlier, when Fela played trumpet alongside the legendary Remi Kebaka.
