Issei Sagawa in 1981 murdered & ate a Dutch woman(Renée Hartevelt) in Paris.He invited her to dinner & shot her.She was selected, he stated, for her health + beauty, those characteristics he believed he lacked.He describes himself as a weak, ugly & inadequate little man who wanted to absorb her energy. He described the meat as soft & odorless like tuna.His wealthy father provided a top lawyer for his defense.He lives free in Tokyo & is a minor celebrity.
