Humuani Alaga(1897- 1993) Businesswoman, Activist and Philanthropist.

Humuani Alaga(1897- 1993) Businesswoman, Activist and Philanthropist.
Born in Ibadan. With no Western education, she became one of the wealthiest business women of her time. She led several protests for Womens Rights and Co-founded the NCWS in 1959. She formed the Isabatudeen Womens Society and founded the first Islamic Girls School in Ibadan. In 1961 she was awarded an MBE by HM the Queen. She held the title of Otun Iyalode of Ibadan.
