The Borno State government, yesterday, promised adequate security cover for pupils and teachers as schools in the state resumed this week, nine months after schools were shut over the Boko Haram insurgency. The closure affected teaching and learning in 1, 357 primary schools in the state. The security assurances will also be complemented with the flagging off of distribution of free school uniforms, text and exercise books, as well as meals by the state government.
