Matthew Tawo Mbu (1929 – 2012)aka the ‘Star of Ogoja’, the ‘Baby
Minister’, the ‘Wonder Boy of the Commonwealth’. He was a lawyer,
politician and diplomat. At age 23 he was youngest Nigerian ever to
serve in the Federal cabinet as a Minister. At 26 he became Nigeria's
First High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and later First Nigerian
Chief Representative to the United Nations. He also served as Biafra's
Foreign Minister 1967-70 and Nigeria's foreign Minister in 1993.
